The remaining individual insolvency provisions and provisions reforming The Insolvency Service's financial regime came into force on 1 April 2004.

 

In addition to the insolvency provisions the Enterprise Act 2002 also made changes to competition and consumer legislation. Details of these are available on the DTI Enterprise Act website.

 

Evaluation of the Enterprise Act 2002

 

The Insolvency Service is evaluating the Enterprise Act 2002. The principal aim of the evaluation is to provide a comprehensive assessment of whether, to what extent and how the provisions of the Act meet its policy objectives.

 

Corporate provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002

 

The corporate insolvency provisions of the Enterprise Act came into force on 15 September 2003. The final evaluation report is due in Summer 2007. A copy of the corporate evaluation planning paper and interim evaluation report can be accessed via the links below.
