Changes to BANCS online - Interest Notifications from 20th September 2007

All users of Bancs On line will no longer be receiving Interest Notifications from the Estate Accounts Services, as from the 20th September 2007.  Instead you will now have the facility to view and/or print these notifications from your bancs on line account.

1.  How do I print all my interest notices for the half-year interest run?

There is now an option on the menu screen Print Interest Notices, if you click the link you will then be prompted to enter the date of the interest credit (either being 01/04/** or 01/10/**) press submit.  The system will then return you a PDF document with all the interest notices for your cases.  You can then print these all off in one run.

2.      Can I just print an interest notices for a specific case?

If you access the case list via the List cases option from the main screen you will now see that there is an option titled Interest.  Once selected for a case the system will then produce a PDF document detailing all the interest notices for that specific case.

3.      How is interest now displayed on BANCS online?

Interest was originally displayed as a net figure only on both BANCS online and the account statements. So that the tax figure is easily obtained both BANCS online and the account statements generated from within BANCS have now been amended to show the gross figure (T18G) and the tax figure (T18T) for all interest postings, by deducting the tax from the gross this will then give you the net figure.

4.      Why has the system been changed?

The system has been changed so that it is easier for you to gain access to information on your cases at a time to suit you.  It is also easier for you to be able to deal with the interest on your cases while you are reconciling it rather than all at the same time when the notices are received en mass through the post.  It is also kinder to the environment.

5.      Who do I contact with any queries?

All queries relating to estate accounts should be addressed to the EAS Estate Accounts Team on 0121 698 4268 or email EAS.enquiries
